Job Description:

TS Banking Group is seeking to hire an Internal Auditor . This role will assist the Director of Internal Audit in executing the audit functions of the company.

Preferred Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree required plus a minimum of two to four years of relevant business experience, preferably internal audit related. Professional certifications preferred, such as CPA, CIA. Knowledge of COSO, IAA, AICPA, and other professional standards.

Location: Treynor - Hybrid or Remote

Experience and Skills:

  • Works closely with the Director to assist in carrying out the audit functions of the company, including but not limited to: reviewing and evaluating the company’s operations; assessing the effectiveness and adequacy of all internal controls of management; preparing audit paperwork; document audit findings.
  • Assists with assessing risk and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance; identify process weaknesses and inefficiencies and operational issues; make recommendations on improvement opportunities to audit process.
  • Assists in identifying improvement opportunities and risk factors.
  • Assists with audit plan schedules; executes planning, fieldwork, report issuance, and tracking.
  • Assists in collaborating with all company stakeholders in determining resolution of reported issues, ensuring appropriate risk management practices are employed.
  • Assists in the preparation of audits/exams, including but not limited to: reserving onsite meeting space for external auditors/examiners; working with IT to identify technology needs; working with internal stakeholders in collecting needed information; communicating with external auditors/examiners to fulfill their requests for information.
  • Execute audit tests in accordance with audit standards, ensuring that audit work is thorough, accurate, and complete, and that risks are appropriately addressed
  • Complete audit work papers and memoranda by documenting audit tests and findings
  • Assists in preparing audit reports and review findings.
  • Communicate effectively with the client during and after audit fieldwork
  • Communicate audit results and findings to appropriate levels of management and discuss observations noted during the course of the audit
  • Assist with the planning phase of the audit
  • Build and foster ongoing relationships with audit clients
  • Ability to perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all banking and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees of company and the general public. Must possess good communication skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to operate the following: telephone, personal computer, printer, copy machine, fax machine. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs. Advanced PC knowledge beneficial.
  • To effectively perform the job, must have reliable transportation to travel to and from work and other work-related events, meetings, interactions with clients, etc.
  • Performs other work and special projects, as assigned.
  • Position may require the ability to work before or after normal business hours, including weekends and overnight travel, to meet required deadlines and attend meetings and/or training programs.
