Job Description:

TS Banking Group is seeking to hire a Systems Engineer. This position involves optimizing and managing IT systems, with a focus on Cisco network solutions and Microsoft Azure cloud services. Key responsibilities include implementing network solutions, managing cloud deployments, and providing help desk support. The role requires strong analytical skills to assess system requirements and design efficient IT solutions. Qualifications may include a Computer Science degree, Cisco and Azure certifications, and proven experience in a similar role. The analyst will also be responsible for system audits, security, training staff, and documenting system changes. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for successful collaboration within the IT team.

Education and/or experience preferred includes: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or one to three years of experience in the systems administration field. Cisco and Azure Certifications are encouraged but not required.

Location: Treynor, IA / Hybrid
Pay: $53,000 - $72,000 (pay is dependent upon experience)

Experience and Skills:

  • Perform technical support for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware
  • Ensure cloud cost optimization at all times
  • Plan, develop, and support network and server infrastructure including documentation
  • Plan, gather and translate technical requirements into infrastructure solution designs in alignment with business needs
  • Work with the project team to define system level requirements and translate them into specific functional requirements
  • Consult to the wider team on all pertinent systems performance
  • Review system and application logs to identify potential issues with application systems
  • Document the configuration of new and existing systems
  • Provide incident troubleshooting and system change implementation, including after hours support
  • Assess system stoppages and determine best course of action to maintain system up time
  • Participate in all aspects of the system and software development life cycle
  • Comply with all banking and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • To effectively perform the job, must have reliable transportation to travel to and from work and other work-related events, meetings, interactions with clients, etc.
  • Ability to operate the following: telephone, personal computer, printer, copy machine, fax machine. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs. Advanced PC knowledge beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees of company and the general public. Must possess good communication skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Position may require the ability to work before or after normal business hours, including weekends and overnight travel, to meet required deadlines and attend meetings and/or training programs.
  • Ability to perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Familiarity with the following technologies is helpful: Microsoft software and operating systems, Linux software and operating systems, relational database systems, NoSQL database systems, open source monitoring software.
  • Research, design, acquire, configure, deploy, decommission, and maintain all hardware in relation to the systems infrastructure.
  • Manage internal and external systems connectivity between services, buildings, datacenters and charters.
  • Work with technology team and Information Security Officer to ensure network architecture is secure and in an adequate state to support business functionality.
  • Design and maintain systems configuration documentation.
  • Work with federal and state regulatory bodies to answer questions and meet compliance requirements from a system management perspective.
  • Assists technology support team by helping troubleshoot problems involving the systems infrastructure. This may include troubleshooting LAN and WAN networking issues with the Network Engineer.
  • Communication with other business units to ensure security and stability of required systems.
  • Develop and document the proposed technical design for the integration and implementation of any new system.
  • Create, document, and review architectural design requirements, systems level test cases and test plans to validate the design against the requirements.
  • Create, manage and work helpdesk support tickets.
  • Participate in defining disaster recovery plans and the development of network test plans.
