Job Description:

TS Bank is seeking to hire an Operations Officer. This role is primarily responsible for directing, administering, and coordinating the activities of the bank charter operations in accordance with established company goals and objectives, including but not limited to the processing of account transactions, wires, ACH, internet banking, and other banking operational activities.

Preferred education and experience: High school degree required. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience and Skills:

  • Develop, test and implement new or enhanced processes and other process improvement initiatives
  • Follow firm and industry regulations and operating practices in completing and recording transactions
  • Ensure client problems are handled appropriately by utilizing the established problem resolution process both internally and externally and escalating when required
  • Provide continuity of service to all banking clients and business partners
  • Serve as a resource to other employees within the company
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of team
  • Participate in the internal reporting process required by the company
  • Communicate across the business to all key stakeholders in relation to investigation matters
  • Directs the activities of the Bank Charter Community Banking operations in support of policies, goals, culture, core values, and objectives established by executive management.
  • Identify current or potential problem areas or the need for organizational changes; develop and upon approval, implement recommendations concerning the reallocation/redistribution of task responsibilities among or within departments; develop and implement organizational structure changes and manpower planning programs to assure the most appropriate and efficient utilization of staff and the availability of qualified personnel to fulfill staffing requirements.
  • Develop and recommend to the COO specific long and short range goals and objectives related to the company Charter’s operation; direct and participate in the development and implementation of operating objectives, policies and programs.
  • Provide managerial direction to operations staff to insure that the operation functions smoothly and efficiently and that all clients receive prompt, courteous service; provide assistance as needed.
  • Protect the company’s financial interests and reputation by complying with internal and external policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all company and banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Directly supervises assigned employees and performs administrative duties associated with staff management (e.g., trains employees, delegates work and ensures the completion of same, prepares and publishes work schedule, reviews and approves timesheets, coaches and counsels employees, prepares performance evaluations and conducts evaluation meetings, conducts staff meetings, makes salary and promotional recommendations, participates in recruitment, interview, and hiring process, administers progressive discipline, takes action regarding departmental activities and staff, approves/disapproves requests for leave time, notifies employees of mandatory training and bank meetings). Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees of company and the general public. Must possess good communication skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to operate the following: telephone, personal computer, printer, copy machine, fax machine. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs. Advanced PC knowledge beneficial.
