Experience and Skills:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Processing of accounts payable which includes obtaining proper approvals, verification of mathematical accuracy, determination of the propriety of the invoice, entering information into the accounts payable system and generation of payment. Prepares and communicates all accounts payable reports and maintains all vendor files. Also, communicating with vendors to resolve various issues regarding invoices presented for payment. Payment of employee expenses are also included.
Prepare client invoicing, client statements, bank deposits and apply client receipts to the accounts receivable system. Prepare and communicate all accounts receivable reporting.
Answer questions for research from co-workers and clients regarding past bills and general ledger accounts.
Prepare reconciliations of various bank and general ledger accounts.
Accumulate information for various tax reporting.
Prepare analysis of accounts, as necessary.
Assist in the monthly close process.
Assist in special projects, as necessary.
- Comply with all company and banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain educational and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, conferences and workshops and involvement in professional and community groups in leadership positions.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES. There are no supervisory responsibilities in this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE. Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting; two or three years related experience and/or training is desired.
LANGUAGE SKILLS. Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES. Must have the ability to operate the following equipment: telephone, copy and fax machines, PC and printer. Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point), and general accounting software a plus.
